When my kid arrived, everything I do got put under a light. You start asking what your values actually are, because now there is someone who will learn them from you. Not from what you say, but from what you live.
So I asked myself the simple question. Why do I make any of this?
The answer was short. I make music out of love. Love for sound, and love for technology. That second one is complicated, because there is a lot about technology today that I have come to hate.

When I sat with why I hate it, the reasons were the same for almost every platform. The greediness. The anti-community machine we live inside now. The internet used to exist to connect us. Today it exists so we can share highlights, and most of them are fake. It did something to us as a society that I cannot unsee anymore.
I know how these systems work from the inside. YouTube is my job, so I see the machinery up close, how the algorithm decides what lives and what disappears. That is exactly why I cannot pretend it is neutral. We were made addicted by systems that were designed, carefully, to do exactly that. That is not your fault. It is not anyone's fault. Nobody chose this. But we can all make the move and say enough.
So I deleted everything I could. All of it gone, except YouTube, because that is where the work lives. And even with that one window still open, I feel so much better. From the outside now I can see how hooked everyone is, and it is heartbreaking, because I know none of them chose it either.
Social media is not social anymore. So let us find our own platforms. Let us find alternatives. Or let us just cancel it and connect again, for real.
That is what this record is.
What Symbiosis Means
Symbiosis is not me telling you the digital world is bad. I live inside of it. The tools, the connection, the intelligence we build, I love it. The problem starts when the phone never leaves your hand and you stop noticing the magic of the ordinary. Eye contact with a stranger and the smile that comes back. The details you catch out of pure boredom. That boredom is a gift. It makes you available to the world around you.
Symbiosis is not about choosing one world over the other. It is about balance. About living with both without letting one erase the other. Seven moments you notice again, the second you look up.
The ambient series exists to bring people down in a world that is too loud and too hungry for the next thing. To help you find your focus and enjoy a moment that is only yours.
The Sound
You can hear both worlds in the sound. Field recordings I gathered over the last months, Chile, Berlin, the things I actually saw, sitting next to synthetic computer environments I built from scratch. Two textures inside one small sound. I left a few grooves in there too, partly to underline the digital side, partly because I wanted to find a new sound aesthetic for myself in a space that still feels wide open.
Ambient, for me, is freedom. No BPM, no genre pressure. Just atmosphere. Whether it has a pulse or not, I genuinely do not care. Techno is where I chase my obsession with self-running systems. Ambient is where I take that same idea further, because nothing has to stay locked to a grid, and things come together more easily than in techno, where you are always fighting to keep it musical.
The Part That Fits Too Well
Here is the part that fits this record almost too well.
The same gatekeeper systems this album is about tried to stop it from coming out. The distributors wanted me to change my cover. Change my titles. Adjust my art until it fit their boxes. I changed the cover more than once. I pulled it from services to try and push it through. Maybe streaming works out eventually. Maybe it does not.
I am done waiting on these companies to approve my own work. So Symbiosis goes up on Bandcamp, the way I made it, now. Streaming comes when it comes.
Listen
Symbiosis is out now. You came here, not to an algorithm, so you get the whole thing right here. Press play. And if it speaks to you, get it on Bandcamp.
Put the phone down for an hour. Look up.
And if you want to follow what I do, do it here, on mordio.online, not through an algorithm. That is the whole point.
