MORDIO at Superbooth 25

Hey everyone! Excited to share that I'll be at Superbooth 2025 in Berlin this weekend (May 8-10). If you're into electronic music and synths, this is basically our Christmas.

For those who don't know, Superbooth is the biggest event of the year for synth freaks and electronic music creators. It takes over the entire FEZ-Berlin space, with hundreds of manufacturers showcasing their latest tech - from modular systems to standalone synths, controllers, and everything in between. It's where most of the major brands announce their new gear for the year, plus there are performances, workshops, and opportunities to get hands-on with everything.

Performing with Torso ElectronicsI'm really hyped to share that I'll be performing at Booth O117 with Torso Electronics on Saturday, May 10th at 2:30 PM. I've been working with the S-4 for a while now, and it's completely changed parts of my workflow for creating Ambient textures.

The S-4 2.0 Update: Game-Changing FeaturesWhat I'm most excited about is getting my hands on the upcoming S-4 2.0 firmware update. This is the biggest update since the S-4 launched, and from what I've seen so far, it's going to transform how we all interact with this instrument.

The three features I'm particularly stoked about:

PERFORM ModeThis is basically a global macro control hub that lets you map and control multiple parameters across the entire instrument. For me, this is huge for live performances - being able to morph several aspects of a sound with a single control is perfect for creating those evolving textures I'm always after.

SCENE ModeThis one's a workflow game-changer. You can create and recall complete machine states, making it perfect for building variations or swapping samples on the fly. Think of it like having multiple versions of your instrument instantly available - ideal for structuring a live set with distinct sections.

New DevicesThere's a new streaming device that plays audio of any length directly from internal storage - this might finally solve the sample length limitations that have been a creative constraint until now. There's also a new envelope follower for more creative modulation possibilities, which I'm eager to experiment with for sound design.

I'll be digging deep into these features at Superbooth and will definitely share my hands-on experience after the event.

Come Say Hi!If you're coming to Superbooth, drop by Booth O117 on Saturday afternoon to catch my performance. I'll be showcasing some of my minimalist, polyrhythmic approaches using the S-4 with the new 2.0 features.

Can't make it to Berlin? No worries - I'll be documenting the whole experience and will share detailed videos on my channel about the S-4 update and other interesting gear discoveries from the show.

Looking forward to connecting with some of you there! Let me know in the comments if there's anything specific you want me to check out at the show.

Have a great day
